Responsible Gambling
Responsible Gambling Advice
Bonus Boss is dedicated to ensuring that all of our players can get the help and support that they need, when it comes to responsible gambling. It’s important that you feel that you can have fun and stay in control of your mobile gambling.
Below we have provided some of our top tips for how to gamble responsibly:
- Make sure to set limits for yourself. These limits can include purchasing, wagering and even losses. So make sure to consider these before you start gambling.
- If you find that your gambling is interfering with your daily commitments, then we strongly advise that you DO NOT continue to gamble.
- We never advise gambling if you are in recovery for any dependency or if you are under the influence of alcohol or any other substance.
- Finally, gambling should never be seen as a source of income. Never gamble on Bonus Boss, or any other site, if your aim is to win money to repay any debts that you may have.
There is always free advice, support and counselling available from GamCare to help in the prevention and treatment of problem gambling in the UK. You can contact them via their UK-based helpline at 0808 8020 133 or visit www.gamcare.org.uk.
Other Responsible Gambling Resources
There are a multitude of resources available to you if you’re looking for more information on responsible gambling, including GambleAware.org.
Various companies also offer software that you can install to prevent access to gambling sites on your computer. These include Gamblock (https://www.gamblock.com) and Betfilter (http://www.betfilter.com/).
The age verification systems and procedures that Bonus Boss has in place, minimise the risk of underage players from accessing our casino service.
We would also advise any parents and guardians who play on a family-shared computer, to use parental controls. This can include installing filtering software to prevent children and young people from accessing gambling-related content.
Net Nanny is a software that protects children from inappropriate web content. Another option is Cybersitter, which allows parents to choose which sites they would like to block.
Responsible Gambling Questions
If you are concerned that you may have a gambling problem, ask yourself the following questions:
- Do you stay away from work or college to gamble?
- Do you gamble to escape from a boring or unhappy life?
- When gambling and you run out of money, do you feel lost and in despair, and need to gamble again as soon as possible?
- Do you gamble until your last penny is gone, even the bus fare home or the cost of a cup of tea?
- Have you ever lied to cover up the amount of money or time you have gambled?
- Have others ever criticised your gambling?
- Have you lied, stolen or borrowed just to get money to gamble or pay gambling debts?
- Are you reluctant to spend “gambling money” on anything else?
- Have you lost interest in your family, friends or interests?
- After losing, do you feel you must try and win back your losses as soon as possible?
- Do arguments, frustrations or disappointments make you want to gamble?
- Do you feel depressed or even suicidal because of your gambling?
The more you answer “yes” to these questions, the more likely you are to have a serious gambling problem. We’d advise that you to contact a responsible gambling organisation such as GamCare, as soon as possible for free advice and support. We’d also advise that you review the responsible tools available below and see if any of them can help you get your gambling under control.
Session Limits
The session limits that we have in place are designed to remind you when you’ve been playing continuously for a set amount of time. This limit will make you aware of just how much time you spend playing and can be helping in giving you a head-up that it might be time to take a break.
If you make the decision that you want to keep playing, you will have to start a new session, which you can do by quitting the game and reloading it. A ‘session’ is based on how long you’ve been continuously playing an individual game for. If you switch games or log out of your account and back in again, a new session will start.
For each new session you start, a new session limit will need to be set. If you’re playing on our website and you set your session limit within another tab, you’ll need to refresh the game before the changes will take effect.
If you’re currently logged into your account, you are able to set a session limit using the ‘Set Session Limit’ button below.
Deposit Limits
You are able to set deposit limits on your Bonus Boss account, which enables you to cap the amount of money that you are depositing. You can choose a deposit limit period of 1 day, 7 days or 4 weeks.
You are able to lower your deposit limit at any time with immediate effect. However if you decide that you want to be able to deposit more, and increase your deposit limit, it will take 24 hours to take effect. This is to give you time to ensure that you are happy and comfortable to spend more money.
We would like to note that our customer support team are unable to override any deposit limits you’ve set. To set a deposit limit, simply make sure you’re logged in to your account and then use the ‘Set Deposit Limit’ button below.
Cool-Down Period
Here at Bonus Boss we offer you the opportunity to set a cool-down period on your account, if you feel like you are starting to need a break from playing.
Please note that any pending bonuses due to go onto to your account will be cancelled. You won’t be able to access your Bonus Boss account, or play on any of our sister brands while your cool-down period is active. You can set a cool-down period with the ‘Set Cool Down Period’ button below.
You can choose your cool-down period, from 1 day, 7 days or 4 weeks. When this time period finishes, you will be able to access your account again and continue playing.
Self-Exclusion
If you feel that you are no longer able to gamble safely, it is important that you address this and take action. Bonus Boss gives you the option to self-exclude if you decide you need to stop playing. This exclusion is across both Bonus Boss and our sister casino brands.
If you request a self-exclusion, you will not be able to access your account or play with any of our casino brands during your chosen exclusion period, which can be anything from 6 months up to 5 years. For your own protection, this cannot be reversed under any circumstances.
If you would like to self-exclude, please contact our customer support team on 01384 885046 for assistance. Alternatively, you can email selfexclusion@bonusboss.co.uk with your account details and how long you’d like to self-exclude for. If no period is stated, we will exclude you for the minimum period of 6 months.
You can also request a self-exclusion without the need to contact our customer support team by using our automated service. To self-exclude, text the word EXCLUDE to 89905. This will be in place for the minimum period of 6 months.

Over 18 Only
In the United Kingdom, the minimum legal age to gamble is generally 18 years old. This applies to all online gambling.
We perform age verification checks on all of our customers to make sure that they are 18 or over. If these checks do not give us the information we need, documentary proof of age will be required.
